Design Concepts For The Home & Garden
This house was a fluff job. Meaning that I didn’t have to move any walls change out any windows gut the kitchen or baths.
Originally the woodwork inside and outside of the house was orange. I had all of the woodwork stained a dark walnut giving the entire house a much richer look. That included the kitchen cabinets which were very good looking and even better looking after the change in color. I added a southwestern motif back splash behind the cabinets, enriching the entire look of the kitchen. The color of the plaster walls was another issue. I hired a top company to take on the issue. I picked the colors which were very subtly, softly sponged onto the walls followed with a rich glaze which gave the walls a soft shine.
The front of the house had required pipes sticking out of the ground. I planted ivy which grew quickly covering the pipes and adding a lovely ascetic. I added wall lights in the front of the house and on the walls of the gardens. The gardens themselves had some plantings which I added a lot to. Decorating was the last thing that remained and that was the easy.
